From Savannah to Nashville: An Affordable Taylor Swift-Inspired Destination Wedding
Meagen and Tanner first connected with us in early 2025 after realizing their dream wedding may not be achievable in the Savannah, GA area where they currently live. The average wedding in Savannah can cost around $60,000, and that simply wasn't what they envisioned for their wedding day. They had a budget of approximately $20,000 to cover all services, including food, entertainment, lodging, and more. We were able to honor that budget and keep them under budget with an affordable all-inclusive micro wedding in Nashville.
After finding us on TikTok, Meagen connected with us and began exploring ideas for an all-inclusive destination wedding at our partner venue, Chapel at High Point Farm. They considered a few other venues, but after a quick tour of the property, the couple immediately committed to planning their wedding there.
Throughout the planning process, they shared the important details of their day and their vision for the guest experience. It was clear that their wedding date was especially meaningful. While it fell on Mother's Day weekend, Meagen knew it was the perfect weekend to celebrate the beginning of their marriage.
The couple invited approximately 65 of their favorite people, and nearly all of them attended. Guests traveled from Georgia, Kansas City, Texas, Washington, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Florida to celebrate alongside them. During the planning process, Meagen admitted she was secretly nervous that everything felt almost "too easy" and that she "literally had nothing to worry about." However, after seeing everything come together on her wedding day, she shared:
“I was worried I wasn’t conveying enought what I wanted, then I started worrying because I literally had nothing to worry about. I remember telling Leza I feel like I should be doing something and her response was ‘that’s why it’s called Effortless’. So we trusted her, and so glad we did. Seeing it for the first time was indescribable. It was absolutely perfect, like somehow she was in my mind. Everything was beautiful in every way.”
The couple chose an elegant, joyful, Taylor Swift-inspired theme for their wedding day. They wanted guests to wear bright, cheerful colors, enjoy amazing food, spend the evening on a packed dance floor, and witness vows that would surely bring tears.
Meagen wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder gown with a slit for her ceremony, while Tanner wore a classic black suit and black bow tie from Men's Wearhouse. Her flowers were a bright and cheerful mixture of blues, pinks, reds, and yellows. She had very specific instructions—no peach and no cream—and we think the florist, who also happens to be the venue owner, completely nailed her vision. From the inspiration board to the wedding day itself, everything came together beautifully.
Their wedding party consisted of four bridesmaids and four groomsmen, each wearing complementary colors that coordinated perfectly with Meagen's color palette. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses and carried gorgeous bouquets designed to complement Meagen's bridal bouquet.
The details guests experienced were exactly what we hoped for a group traveling so far from home. Guests arrived on a warm May afternoon before the summer heat settled into Tennessee, making it the perfect temperature for an outdoor garden wedding.
The couple honored Meagen's late parents with a memorial chair in the ceremony area. You could feel the significance of their absence and how important they were to Meagen. We believe they were honored beautifully throughout the evening. One especially touching moment occurred when the groom's father joined Meagen for a father-daughter dance, symbolizing so much through a single dance.
Our photographer, Kaitlin, captured countless joyful and emotional moments throughout the evening and created a beautifully crafted gallery the couple will cherish for a lifetime. They also hired a local Nashville band to keep guests entertained and the dance floor full all night long. Everyone raved about the band, and we highly recommend Elijah Boone for couples planning a Nashville wedding. The couple even joined the band on stage for a few songs—surely a memory they'll never forget.
Guests were welcomed by one of our favorite musicians, Sherrie Meredith, whose performance set the tone for the evening and continued throughout the ceremony. Her music added exactly the elegant touch Meagen envisioned for her wedding day and she even played some of Meagen’s favorite TS songs.
From the early morning hours spent getting ready with her favorite people to the ribbon send-off at the end of the night, Meagen and Tanner experienced exactly what they had envisioned. More importantly, they began their marriage with a beautiful, meaningful celebration that stayed comfortably within their budget.
